Oakengates is one of the old market towns Telford was built around. Watling Street ran straight through it, Britain’s first boat lift was tried out here in 1794, and much of it grew in the nineteenth century alongside the markets and railways. Priorslee and St Georges next door grew quickly for people working at the Lilleshall Company and on the railway. Today Priorslee is mainly residential, with Stafford Park nearby.
I’m Lee, Gas Safe registered and based in Telford. Book LMS Heating Solutions and you get me, not a call centre.
A mix of old and new on this side of town
Whatever the age of your home, the pattern is much the same. Older systems tend to suffer from tired pipework and sludge. Newer ones are more often let down by a combi that has never been serviced properly. I’ll find the cause before I suggest a fix.
Covered from here
Oakengates, Priorslee, Wombridge and Redhill (TF2), plus St Georges and Ketley Bank. Donnington and Muxton have their own page: Donnington and Muxton.
What I can do for you in Oakengates and Priorslee
- New boiler installation: Baxi, Worcester Bosch, Vaillant or Ideal, chosen to suit your home. I register every boiler for its manufacturer’s warranty.
- Boiler servicing: a yearly check of a domestic natural gas boiler, whoever fitted it.
- Boiler repairs: I find the fault, explain it in plain English and give you a fixed price before I start.
- Power flushing: for systems with sludge, cold spots or noisy radiators, and only when the signs point to it.
- Landlord gas safety checks (CP12): see below.
Landlord gas safety certificates in Oakengates and Priorslee
If you rent out a home, the law says the gas appliances and flues you provide for your tenants must be safety checked at least every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered engineer. I carry out landlord gas safety checks on domestic natural gas appliances in rented homes in Telford and Shropshire, and give you the Landlord Gas Safety Record (often called a CP12).
A landlord gas safety check and certificate costs £80 for one gas appliance, and £10 for each extra appliance. Tell me the postcode and which gas appliances are in the property, and I’ll book the check in.
Who you’re letting into your Oakengates and Priorslee home
- Gas Safe registered (no. 974132) for domestic natural gas work. You can check me on the Gas Safe Register.
- I hold £5 million public liability insurance.
- You get Lee: the same engineer for the call, the quote and the work.
- Family-run: I’m on the tools, my wife keeps the paperwork in order.
- It’s always a fixed price. If there are ever any changes due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ll discuss them with you before any work takes place.

Oakengates and Priorslee boiler questions
Is a power flush the same as a chemical clean?
No. A power flush pushes water and cleaning chemicals through the system at high flow to shift sludge. A chemical clean is gentler. I’ll only suggest either one if the signs are there. More on my power flushing page.
Can I send you a photo instead of describing the boiler?
Please do. A photo of the front of the boiler and the label underneath tells me the make and model straight away.
Do you give fixed prices for repairs?
Yes. I explain what’s wrong and what it will cost before I start. If anything changes once the work is under way, I’ll talk to you first.
